Situated within the Marloth Nature Reserve, this 4-star lodge offers breathtaking views of the mountains, river and forest. Fishing is possible in Gaikous 2 dams, surrounded by native wild flowers.
The luxuriously decorated rooms and villas include private patios or wide verandas. Flat-screen TVs, kitchenettes and bathtubs are standard in all units.
Visitors can enjoy hiking and walking trails on foot or on horseback. There is a river trail on the property, where lure and fly fishing can be practiced.
Breakfast is served on Gaikou Lodges veranda or inside, at the reception area.
The historic Swellendam can be found 20 minutes walk from the lodge. Free private parking is possible on site. |

Traveling on the N2 from Cape Town to the Garden Route:
*Take the Swellendam East turnoff (Swellengrebel Street).
*Turn right into Berg Street and travel all the way to the top of Berg Street until you arrive at the gates of Gaikou Lodge.
