This 4-star guesthouse adjoining the Nelspruit Nature Reserve, offers luxurious accommodation individually decorated with styles from African and Asian cultures. The pool terrace boasts uninterrupted views of the Nature Reserve.
Many of La Roca Guesthouses rooms have balconies with views of the Drakensberg Mountains while some rooms have a private patio. Each has a seating area where guests can relax and watch satellite TV on the flat-screen.
Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool, which is set in a large sub-tropical garden and surrounded by sun loungers. The pool bar features a wide range of drinks and refreshments.
Breakfast is served under the open-air thatched lapa on the panoramic pool terrace. Eight different freshly cooked breakfast specials are available, as well as an extensive self-service cold buffet.
The centre of Nelspruit is a short drive from La Roca Guesthouse while KMIA Nelspruit Airport is 8 km away. A car rental service is available on site and an airport shuttle is also offered. |

From Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport & From R40 North (Hazyview / White River):
- Leaving the Airport, turn right at the circle towards White River.
- Continue following signs for White River and the R40.
- When you reach the R40, turn left towards Nelspruit.
- Continue for about 15Km and TURN LEFT at the first set of traffic lights AFTER the N4 junction (the Town Lodge is on your right hand side) into Piet Retief St.
- Continue straight on Piet Retief St. through 2 sets of traffic lights, a small traffic circle and a 4-way stop street.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. There is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56).
- Look out for a long earthy red-coloured wall with earthy yellow pillars and 2 green gates.
From N4 West (Pretoria / Johannesburg)
- Heading into Nelspruit on the N4, take the first turn off to left sign posted for Nelspruit centre and R40 Barberton.
- When you arrive at the set of traffic lights for the R40, turn right onto the R40 towards Barberton.
- Take the first turn left at the next set of traffic lights into Piet Retief St.
- Continue straight on Piet Retief St. through 2 sets of traffic lights, a small traffic circle and a 4-way stop street.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. There is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56).
- Look out for a long earthy red-coloured wall with earthy yellow pillars and 2 green gates.
From N4 East (Malelane / Mozambique)
- Follow signs for Nelspruit centre/Barberton on the N4 highway.
- Continuing towards Nelspruit city centre, the N4 splits. Do not follow the N4 lanes on the right hand side.
- KEEP LEFT when the road splits and continue straight up into Bell St.
- At the traffic lights at the top of Bell St., TURN LEFT into Ferreira St.
- At the second set of traffic lights, TURN RIGHT into Van der Merwe St.
- Continue up Van der Merwe street until you reach a four-way stop street. - TURN LEFT into Mostert St.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. There is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56).
- Look out for a long earthy red-coloured wall with earthy yellow pillars and 2 green gates.
From R40 South (Barberton / Swaziland)
- Heading into Nelspruit on the R40, TURN RIGHT into Piet Retief St.
- At the traffic lights just after the petrol station the Road Lodge is on your left and Sonpark Shopping Centre on your right.
- Continue straight on Piet Retief St. through 2 sets of traffic lights, a small traffic circle and a 4-way stop street.
- Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St. There is a sign for La Roca on your left.
- Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle and La Roca is about 100m on your right (# 56).
