This romantic, family-run 5-star lodge is situated in the Zebula Nature Reserve in Waterberg region. It features a crystal-clear pool with an outdoor lounge and a teak hot spa tub.
Blending stone, thatch and natural materials, all luxurious rooms are decorated with original African artefacts. Each room is air conditioned and comes with a private patio overlooking the surrounding bush.
Guests of the Botsebotse Bush Retreat can enjoy in-room spa treatments, guided game drives, golf, and quad bike safaris. The regularly stocked dams provide plenty of fishing opportunities.
You can enjoy breakfast in your own courtyard. The Botsebotses restaurant offers a variety of meals, which can be enjoyed under the starry African sky. Guests can sample grilled meat from the bush boma or have drinks at the bar. Picnic baskets are available on request.
The lodge is located midway between Bela Bela and Thabazimbi, and has its own tarred runway for charter flights. Johannesburg is approximately 2 hours drive away. |

From Johannesburg take the N1 to Pretoria. Follow the N1 signs towards Polokwane (Pietersburg). Take the R516 to Warmbaths turn off, turn left going towards Bela-Bela (Warmbaths).
At the T-junction, the waterfront will be in front of you, turn right. Go over the bridge, first robot left. Follow the road around a sharp right bend.
At the next road turn left, go past the Aventura Resort on your left. At the roundabout, turn left. Drive approximately 35 km passing the Mabalingwe Game Reserve on your right. Turn right at the tar road on your right that says Rooiberg, with a large Zebula Sign on the corner of the turn off. Drive approximately 4 km and turn right at the Zebula sign. Approximately 5 km down the newly tarred road the ZEBULA gate will be on your right hand side. Pass through the Zebula gate.
Turn right at the first road after the gate and follow the road all the way next to the Zebula fence and past the airstrip. Once past the airstrip the road runs up to a point where it is blocked with dirt. Turn left, turn left again and follow the signs to Site 52. |
