Shakama Lodge provides luxurious hilltop accommodation with balconies overlooking the Waterberg Game Reserve. Shakama Spa offers diverse massage treatments, and the lodge operates guided elephant-riding tours of the reserve.
The elegantly furnished suites at Shakama Private Game Lodge & Spa have air conditioning and hot showers. All suites are equipped with hot drink facilities, and some share a kitchen for self-catering.
Shakama Lodge has a stylish restaurant serving bushveld and international cuisine, and there are barbecue facilities outside. Enjoy your meal with a glass of local wine from the well-stocked cellar.
The lodge features an outdoor pool, a jacuzzi and a fitness centre. Elements Golf Reserve is 10 km away, and staff can organise tours of the Waterberg Reserve.

From O. R. Tambo International Airport:
Head south on To Drop-Off Zone Rd. Turn right toward Exit 46. Take exit 46 for R21 N toward Kempton Park/Pretoria. Merge onto R2. Take exit 134 for N1 toward Polokwane. Follow signs for N1/Pretoria/Polowane. Witbank and merge onto N1. Partial toll road. Take exit 238 to merge onto R516 toward Bela Bela. Turn right at Marx St/R101. Take the 1st left onto Potgieter Rd. Turn right toward Voortrekker Rd. Take the 1st left onto Voortrekker Rd. Take the 1st right onto Grobler Ave. Continue onto Robbertson St. Turn right into Shakama Private Game Lodge & Spa. |

Shakama falls in a malaria-free area
The farm is not a "Big 5" property
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted at the lodge, UNLESS they are part of a group using the lodge exclusively.
Please note that the closest town in which groceries can be bought is Bela-Bela which is 26km away. The lodge does not sell any groceries.
The nearest fuel station is in Bela-Bela, guests that feel that their fuel is low, should for safety sake fill up in Warmbaths.
Visitors driving to the farm must be prepared to drive 19km of dirt road to reach the lodge. Some areas of this road may not be suitable for low-profile / sport vehicles. Any visitors driving in cars should drive slowly and with caution to ensure a safe and trouble-free journey. |
